Old Ellicott City

As most of you know Drew and I are very fond of Old Ellicott City. It's a place that has a lot of good memories for us and not to mention where we got together. So I really wanted to get down there and capture this blizzard. Drew was an amazing driver since the roads weren't in the best condition. We have a small SUV and it's only rear-wheel drive but handles really well! Some of the photos I took while we were driving (the first 7 photos). We think Drew's friend Mike made the igloo but weren't not sure, it just seems like something he would do. It felt like we stepped back into time when we got out of the car since the city was pretty empty. It really was a winter wonderland. I didn't get to spend as much time as I wanted to or walk around as much as I wanted to since it was Super Bowl Sunday and the game was going to start soon. So enjoy!

I had to run to catch this plow train. How I didn't fall on the ice I don't know. I even skip a few steps when I ran up them which were really icy. The train scared the crap out of me because as soon as I made it up a huge wave of snow went all over and made me freeze in my spot! Drew was on the steps when it got him and he said it was like a four of five foot wave. Dang it! I wish I had of been a little faster so I could have captured it!

Leaving Old Ellicott City was a little trickier than coming in!
