BLIZZARD of 2010

When Drew and I woke up I couldn't believe how much snow had fallen over the night and early morning. We woke up around 10:30 am. We are having a record breaking snow storm which they are now calling a blizzard. The nation's capital hasn't had this much snow fall since 1922 when they had 28 inches and right now they are at 22 inches, with the snow not stopping anytime soon. Here in Elkridge the news said we have 30 inches already! Drew and I are going to go out in a little while to do our on measurement. The snow looks gorgeous and I wish I had my snow pants and snowboard but, they're in storage. On the news it showed people skiing downtown. The temperature is dropping and one of the roofs at Dulles airport collapsed where they keep private jets. It looks like Drew and I wont be seeing that house showing tomorrow and it's going to get rescheduled again due to more snow. Last weekend we had to reschedule to this weekend for getting 3 inches of snow. I told Drew I wish we had one of our kids already to enjoy this and our bernese mountain dog. Who knows if we will ever get this much snow again in our lifetime. They say 180,000 people have lost power so far. Our apartment is pretty good at not losing power (knock on wood). Mom said they don't have cable or Internet but, they have power still. I'm going to enjoy this snow storm and the time being snowed in with Drew.
